Van Hartman is an artist out of Edmond, Oklahoma. His interest in music started when he received a conga drum for his sixth birthday. Since starting piano at the age of five, Van has become a self-taught guitarist, drummer, and banjoist. Growing up, he listened to The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Billy Joel. His main musical influences are Jeff Buckley, Nick Rattigan, and The Avett Brothers. He records and produces all of his music in his bedroom, where he spends most of his time.
